This privacy policy explains how Planbee handles information when you visit getplanbee.app. It is intended to describe our current practices, not to guarantee compliance with every law that may apply to you.
Scope
This policy applies to the Planbee website and communications you send to us. It does not apply to third-party websites that may be linked from Planbee.
Information we collect
- Newsletter information. If you choose to sign up, we collect your email address. Signing up is voluntary and based on your consent.
- Messages you send us. We receive the contact details and contents you provide when you email us.
- Technical information. Our hosting provider, Vercel, may process standard request and diagnostic data such as IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, referring page, and date and time to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the site.
- Web analytics information. As described below, Vercel Web Analytics collects aggregated, cookieless page views, including the URL or route, non-sensitive query parameters on that page, referrer when present, approximate location, and device, browser, and operating system information. Visitors are identified by a short-lived hash that is discarded after 24 hours, not by third-party cookies or cross-site advertising identifiers.
Planbee does not intentionally collect sensitive personal information. The site does not offer user accounts, favorites, saved preferences, or stored allergy or dietary profiles. Personal information is not sent to the database used to prepare Planbee’s public food and substitution content.
How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the site;
- send the newsletter you requested and manage subscriptions;
- respond to questions and other messages; and
- understand site performance and how visitors find and use Planbee.
Cookies and analytics
Planbee uses Vercel Web Analytics to measure visits, viewed pages, and general interaction patterns. It does not use third-party analytics cookies. We do not use Web Analytics for selling personal information or targeted advertising.
We use Google Search Console, which provides aggregate reporting about how Planbee appears and performs in Google Search.
Planbee does not use a cookie consent banner for site analytics. You can restrict or delete cookies through your browser settings. Restricting cookies should not prevent you from reading the site.
Disclosure and service providers
We may disclose limited information to service providers working on our behalf, including Vercel for website hosting and Web Analytics, Google for Search Console as described above, and Kit for newsletter delivery.
We may also disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate misuse, or support a business reorganization. Planbee does not sell personal information or disclose it for targeted advertising.
Retention
Newsletter information is retained until you unsubscribe or it is no longer needed to provide the newsletter. After you unsubscribe, we may retain a minimal suppression record so we can honor your request. Messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond and maintain appropriate records. Hosting logs and analytics data are retained according to operational needs and the settings of the relevant service, then deleted or aggregated when no longer needed.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from newsletter emails using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter. You can also manage cookies through your browser. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. Contact us to make a request. We may need to verify your request, and legal exceptions may apply.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Children
Planbee is a general-audience site and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.
International processing
Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Where required, appropriate safeguards should apply to international transfers.
Updates to this policy
We may update this policy as Planbee’s practices or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date.
